Promoting Your Blog - Why Promote?

Internet traffic spends a lot of time using search engines, seeking out content based upon random keywords they type into search strings. So, why should you need to promote your blog?

Doesn’t quality speak for itself when it comes to online pages? Why bother to think about promoting your blog at all?

You spend a lot of time on your blog, updating pages frequently to offer new, exciting content. Shouldn’t you be rewarded by enjoying the thrill of having readers who actually see those words? Shouldn’t your blog serve to earn you a little revenue, start giving you something back?

It’s unlikely any money-making programs or donation buttons you might have will do you any good if you don’t have traffic. It's also hard to continue writing a blog if there are no readers to enjoy your words.

Why promote? Because the alternative is to have online pages which don’t flourish -- and why would you want that?
