Professional Networking with Mycubi
Before we had networking sites, people used to network to find all sorts of things: friends, handymen, doctors, and even jobs. While social networking sites seem to outnumber their more serious business counterparts, these do exist. Mycubi aspires to fill the need for a networking site for professionals.
You’d practically have to live under a rock to be unfamiliar with online social networking, it’s become so ubiquitous on the World Wide Web. From Facebook to MySpace, practically everybody is using social sites to connect with friends, family and co-workers.
However, not all social networking is meant strictly for fun and play - nor should it be. Networking sites provide a lot of unique opportunities which exist outside the many socializing possibilities. If you can find people you went to high school with on a networking site, why can’t you find new job opportunities and employees? Should you be using professional networking with Mycubi to further you own business goals?
What is Mycubi?
Mycubi (http://mycubi.com/) essentially is designed for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Upon signing up for free membership with the site, you’ll be invited to create a Cubi of your own. This allows you to take advantage of professional networking on a local or even national scale.

Your Cubi is, basically, your professional networking profile - not unlike your Facebook or MySpace page. Mycubi, however, is business-based. Your page will showcase your skills and abilities, the types of services you offer and other helpful information (links to your Web site and price lists, for instance).
Still small and lacking in certain features (instant messaging capability is lacking on the site), Mycubi has a lot of strong potential for business professionals who want to advertise and spread the word about everything they’ve got to offer. Anything that gives you free advertising is worth a second look, right?
