Internet Marketing Tactics You Should Try - The Online Showroom
(Page 3 of 4 )
If you have products or services to offer, whether your store is exclusively online or you have an actual physical location, you need an online showroom. Painting companies, plumbing companies and furniture stores are only a few examples of the types of business who need to make use of online showrooms. Whatever you’ve got to offer, you should showcase it with style.
The online showroom should be easy to navigate and contain several different elements so customers can get a good look at your wares. Always include some type of photograph of the item, or at least something to illustrate the product or service in some way (if you’re offering e-books, for instance, create a graphic cover for the book so you have something to display). You should also include a brief, keyword-focused description of the item. But sure to include the name of the item in the description at least twice.
Include a “buy now” or “add to shopping cart” option with every single product, so customers can make their purchases quickly and with little effort. You may also include an online form or link to email, in case visitors want to learn more about a certain product or service that’s offered.
Mailing Lists
It’s a good idea to give customers the option of being added to your mailing list. The customers on your list will receive special sales information, promotional offers, updates and news, pictures of new products -- whatever you decide to send them. Always include a link to the site within the body of the email, and thus make it easy for them to visit your site while they’re already thinking about it.
You can choose to add email addresses to your list in a number of ways. You may offer this when customers register for the site (click here to receive special offers, etc.), or you may offer it to customers who have made repeat purchases on your site, awarding some sort of “valued member” status.
When you have email addresses, you have all the tools you need to launch an email marketing campaign which can help you promote the site, get traffic and perhaps sell more products, all at the same time.
