Should Your Site Celebrate? - Bah! The Humbugs

The truth is, some people donít celebrate certain holidays. Perhaps the events themselves are religious in nature, perhaps the people in question just arenít festive by nature, perhaps the holiday is celebrated by some countries but not others. These non-celebrating site visitors are every bit as valuable as the traffic who comes to your pages with specific holidays, like Christmas, on the brain.

Is there a way to satisfy both ends of the spectrum, while still offending neither? Or is the only way to stay middle-of-the-road and completely PC for all parties to simply ignore the holidays in general? Should you pretend they donít exist?

It all, once again, comes back to the same basic problem: should your site celebrate, or should your site abstain from any holiday-themed designs, content and graphics in an effort to remain politically correct (and nicely middle-of-the-road) for all parties?
