There are many different ways to take advantage of Vibrant Media, and many different ad types for your site’s traffic to enjoy. You can choose the form of pop-up which seems most suitable for your site’s content. If you have a lot of plain text, you may want to add a new depth to your words with video- and audio-based ads, or keep everything on site the same and choose text-based ads to fit the theme.
All types of Vibrant Media ads work the same way -- as pop-ups which appear on your Web pages. They take up very little space and can be ignored by your traffic if that’s what they wish. These small, in-line ads certainly offer many benefits to you and your site.
Is that all they do?
Vibrant Media Drawbacks
It’s unlikely that any system will ever seem perfect, and Vibrant Media is no exception. Because an automated system crawls your content to find advertising matches, you may see that many of the Vibrant Media ads on your pages are connected to your content only very loosely. Often, the content being advertised may not seem to match the content of your site very well. If your traffic is interested in the content your site displays and they are bombarded with ads for content that’s barely related, you don’t have a very high chance of getting a lot of advertising (revenue-creating) clicks.
Since you cannot control ad placement (Vibrant Media merely highlights seemingly random words and attaches ads at will), you never know what sort of ads your content will compel. For some Web masters, the thought of giving up so much control over advertising is untenable. For others, it may be very appealing in that there’s very little work to do to integrate the ads in the site.
