In two words, advertising revenue. For every click every one of your Vibrant Media ads receive, you get a portion of the profits. Your text is already in place and on your site, giving Vibrant rich pickings for their collapsible ads. You’re taking up no space on your site, and you’re getting the benefit of income.
Vibrant Media Do Nots
Before you can take advantage of Vibrant Media, you have to be sure you’re running a site which qualifies for these types of ads. You can find the full list of rules on the Vibrant home page.
In order to qualify for these ads, your site cannot have any content which might be construed as violent or racial. Your site also cannot have pornographic or adult-only materials. Content favoring illegal drugs is likewise prohibited, as is obscene language and gambling content. Anything which might be considered offensive or illegal is not tolerated by Vibrant Media, so if your site contains any of this content, don’t waste your time by signing up; you will not be accepted.
Vibrant Media also requires that your site be receiving at the very least 500,000 page views (for your site content) each month to qualify for their ad placement. If the main pages of your site are getting this amount of traffic, while your content is significantly less well-visited, you do not qualify.
How Does This Work?
Vibrant Media is very much like other pay-per-click advertising programs, such as Google AdSense. However, you and Vibrant have very little control of where your ads will be placed within your content. An automated process will scan your pages and place the ads as soon as your content is published, adding green highlight and underscores to certain words within your piece for the in-line pop-ups.
You’ll receive profits through PayPal when these ads result in actual clicks.
