An Introduction to Google 411 - Features

What Kind of Features Does Google 411 Have for Me If I am On The Go?

If you happen to be using your cell phone while you are in search of a phone number, then Goog 411 can help you get your hands on more than just an instant connection to the number of your choice. Goog 411 gives you two other fun features.

The first mobile-phone-only feature is the text feature. The text feature is a good one that you can use if you want to have a number that you need to use more than once. If you choose to use the text feature, then your cell phone will also get a text message sent to it with the name and phone number.

The second feature that is only available to users of cell phones is called Map it. What Map it does is gives you a map of the area in order to make it easier to find the location that you are calling.

If you donít think this is a useful feature, think about the last time you were on the way to a job interview, or when you had to find a pharmacy in the middle of the night when visiting friends in a strange town.

There is one thing that you should know before you go looking for your new friends' homes with that Map it service. In order to keep things manageable and prevent stalkers from getting a leg up on the rest of us, the Goog 411 system only lists businesses. You canít get any residential listings this way. You are also stuck out of luck for using Goog 411 if you happen to be dialing from a pay phone. Though to be honest, this will affect only a small percentage of people.
