    Shortcuts for Page Design

In your imagination, you are able to design the greatest Web site the world has ever known. You imagine attractive backgrounds, beautifully integrated navigation features, simple layouts and so many tools that traffic is sure to visit and explore your pages. But then you start the process of actually designing your online pages, and you wake up to the cold reality of how difficult a task you’ve really set for yourself. Learn to use shortcuts for page design, and save yourself a lot of effort and headaches.

    Using Shortcuts

But isn't using shortcuts cheating? Not everyone has the time to read lengthy HTML tutorials or coding books on how to write proper JavaScript, and not everyone wants to make this effort even if they want a great site. Web sites are on the Internet are supposed to be quick and simple, so why can't designing them be the same?

Using shortcuts for page design can save you a great deal of time and effort, and you don't have to sacrifice the quality of your site. With the right shortcuts, you can design an entire site without learning how to write any code.

    Design Templates

Take advantage of page design templates, and save yourself the aggravation of creating cells, navigational toolbars and other design elements that help define the page. When you use a template, you don't have to design the page yourself; you only have to fill it with content.

There are many, many sites offering page design templates for other Internet users. Some sites require membership or payment before they will part with templates, but there are just as many sites which boast free templates you can download at no personal cost. Some of these free sites are listed on the next page.
