| 'The Newsletter' the face of information exchange brought to youby StickySauce.com Welcome to the first issue of 2003. Welcome back to your desktops, I trust you had a well earned rest and you are now fresh and ready to crack on with a packed year of development ahead? The New Year has started with a huge spring clean @StickySauce, several areas of the site have been overhauled. None of us were brave enough to stop Irv, you see, he acted upon a thread in the forums and it all escalated from there, who knows how far Irv will go when spring does actually arrive. The members requested a revision of the StickyForums to reflect the diversity of threads that are posted regularly. Irv has done us proud, shifting and sifting over 1000 messages to bring us a forum board that is geared to our future needs, embracing all current and most future requirements within the industry. Do you run a site that is based around family issues? Health? Outdoor activities? Do you find it hard to keep your site fresh with new content? It may well pay dividends if you visit our FREE Content Dispenser Directory (this is a different directory to those listed previously within The Newsletter, and just one of many we can offer to you). Do you find yourself hunting for that 'Special HTML character' code that allows you to write certain characters that are established within other alphabets? Do you have a printed sheet containing many examples of the following 'Alt0252'? Are you perplexed by umlaut, acute, circumflex or dieresis? Visit the 'Special HTML characters' page to see the definitive list of such characters along with their numeric and descriptive codes. Do you script Perl or Javascript? Would you like to keep your script for yourself, and not pass its details and formulation on to others? Paste any perl script, Javascript or module into the box and this tool will mush up the variables and formatting making it unreadable by man but perfectly viable for your server. Perl ~ Javascript. Would you like to use a specific JPG or GIF in your design, but find it is just too large to reasonably expect users to view/download? Would you like to test your site in a 'Web TV' environment? Then a swift visit and bookmarking session to our 'Website Garage tools' is in order. Finally for this issue, your StickySauce Webmasters have a request. Do you have a resource that could be of use to your fellow StickySauce members? Please take a few minutes to consider submitting your resource so that we may evaluate and add you to our ever-growing database. What can your StickySauce Webmasters offer you in the future? What services do you demand of the #1 Web Developers resource? If your suggestions are viable you may just find them being implemented within the site. Wewould like to hear your views on the site, the Forums and anyother issue you wish to impart - so please feel free to utilisethe StickySauce.com Forums or e-mailus directly Wicksie & Irv |
