This is a perfect subject to start off our new blog. I am very passionate about my dislike for the 'blackmail like' way most major SEs and even some Directories exclude commercial sites unless you pay exorbitant fees! Before you blast me totally :). Yes I know not all do. But most that allow you to add your site freely also make sure the paying sites stay ahead of the free sites. Thus basically rendering a listing on their directory or search engine a waste of time and resources. Yes I have made some blanket statements which I know are not true for every single SE and Dir. But the trend is driving me up the wall!So we are starting a new series of totally free directories. Starting with 5 separate directories. One each for:
Web Master Resources Directory
Domain Name Resources Directory
Marketing Resources Directory
RSS Resources Directory
RSS Feeds Listing & Directory
I do hope that many of you will support these new directories and add your sites to them. 133t Web Services is undertaking a long term commitment to build and improve these directories. There will be no sponsored sites, There will be no way for one site to buy their way ahead of the others. Once the numbers of sites and resources have grown large enough we will add our search features to the directories. I will have to add all the sites manually for a period of time, thus making sure I get to see that each one is being added in an appropriate category.Well thats my rant about my pet peeve this morning and my solution to the problem as well."One World, One Net, One Way, The 133t Way"
