Can`t Find the Right Keywords? - Words, Words, Words
(Page 4 of 4 )
Perhaps Shakespeare said it best, because words, words, words is your constant concern with any Web site. Though the Internet seems filled with graphic images and bold colors, it’s words that hold the whole thing together. But does that mean you have to spend the rest of your days combing keyword lists and keeping up on all the latest trends? Aren’t there any reliable words out there you can use to supplement the changing phrases that so briefly strike the public fancy?
If following fads isn’t your thing and you’re sick of scouring lists, don’t worry. There are some keywords which will always bring in traffic no matter which starlet has a baby with which hunky actor. Can’t find the right keywords for your site? Use some of the consistently popular ones:
Money
It does more than just make the world go ‘round, for search engines thrive on money, too. Keyword phrases containing the word money won’t do your site any harm. Try building content around phrases like “how to make money” “secrets of money making” and “money for nothing,” and you’ll be pleased with the results.
Sex
Popular sayings claim that this word sells, and they’re right. It’s a little in-your-face to use the word "sex" in you Internet content, yes, but that’s what many users are looking for. This one’s not for the faint of heart; there are plenty of down-and-dirty depictive phrases you might think up to use the word "sex" as a keyword. It is popular, but there is a lot of competition out there with this word.
Work at Home
This phrase often goes hand in hand with money when it comes to Internet popularity. People love surfing on their computers so much that they want to do it for a living. Learn how to take advantage by making phrases with "work at home" appear frequently on your site. Again, there is lots of competition out there with this phrase.
Google
That’s right; it’s not just the most popular search engine but one of the most popular words as well. People are searching for information about Google even on Google, so make this word your own and feature some content about this hot topic on your site. Specifically, traffic is searching for tips and information on programs like Google AdSense and using Google in general.
The Right Keywords
The language used by the United States, whether you call it "English" or specifically "American English," has more words in it than any other. You could never possibly display all of them on your site, so stick to the ones that strike a chord within you and within a decent amount of Internet surfers. You may be catering to the traffic, but never forget that it’s your site. Make it one you can be proud of by focusing on the keywords which actually mean a little something to you, words you feel that you can expound on within your content.
