Using Ads and SEO to Monetize your Website or Blog

As you can see from the first two parts in this series, there are various tools and programs online that bloggers and webmasters can use to get the most out of their websites, financially and otherwise. In this third and final installment, you will learn not only how, but why program and techniques such as AdBrite, Alexa rankings and SEO content can prove to be very beneficial to the financial success of your website or blog.

    AdBrite

AdBrite is very similar to Google AdSense in the way that they are both successful ad servers, though AdBrite doesn't service nearly as many websites as AdSense. According to the site's published stats, it was the sixth largest ad server in 2008 and it serves ads on 68,836 websites, though it has ads on nearly 1 billion pages on any given day.

Much like AdSense, Adbrite helps you monetize your website or blog by providing your site with advertisements that fit in with the content of your copy. In terms of advertisers, AdBrite has some very heavy hitters, such as Live Nation, GM, AT&T and Verizon -- just to name a few. It can take mere minutes to get accepted to AdBrite; you simply complete an online application form, submit your site to the directory, place your ad code and away you go. It should be noted that first time webmasters will quickly take to the easy interface featured on AdBrite, so navigating your way around shouldn't be a problem.

Many ad servers have page rank or traffic requirements that your blog or website must meet in order to be accepted, but AdBrite has no such restrictions. The AdBrite site has a publisher's dashboard that will give you the latest information about every single ad that is currently being run on your site.

This particular ad server also offers you the option of various types of ads, such as InVideo , Inline , BritePic and Full Page Ad . These types of multimedia formats allow you to show high-value ads while taking advantage of the photos and video clips on your site. As we've already learned, the more engaging your site, the more revenue it can produce, and AdBrite offers more than the standard options provided by other similar ad networks.
