Money-Making Site Additions - Earning Revenue on the Internet
(Page 3 of 4 )
Many Web sites offer different programs (some based on pay-per-click or pay-per-sale methods) which allow you to earn income simply by directing your traffic elsewhere. Amazon.com, LinkShare and BeFree are all examples of sites which give you money-making opportunities for making a few simple site additions. Putting little additions on your site can help you earn extra income here and there, but it can also change the look and feel of your pages.
The more programs you implement and the more arrangements you agree to, the more advertisements you’re putting on your site. Always make sure your pages maintain a pleasing appeal so you don’t overwhelm your traffic with eye-catching ads. This may only swamp your site’s actual content. No matter how many programs you’re involved in, everything is still contingent upon the amount of traffic you can actually command to your pages.
No one makes money off the Internet without drawing in Web traffic.
Creating Traffic for Your Site
All programs, gimmicks and methods aside, if you want traffic on your site you need content. Despite all the flashy graphics and artistic elements, the Internet is still largely a place of text -- content. The search engines use words (and nothing else) to find sites. Then, they create a list of links to those sites, from which users can pick and choose. The links appearing near the top of the list are the most likely to be clicked. At the top of the list is exactly where you want your site to be. This helps ensure the most possible traffic, and thus puts you in a great position to reap real monetary reward from all those money-making site additions.
Content is really just words, strung together into information that’s (hopefully) easy to read and process. No site can exist (and still get traffic) without strong content. Even when your site is image-based, you’ll want to make sure pictures have accompanying captions. It’s also a good idea to include users' comments and other text-generating applications to get more words on the site. Remember, it’s the words that are everything, because it’s the words that get searched for by Internet users. Your ads certainly can’t stand on their own; even little extras must have text-based content around them.
