Understanding Your Analytics Results - Visitors Overview

This shows you the number of unique visitors you have had come to this site.

    Map Overlay

The overlay shows you where it is your visitors are coming from. The darker the map section, the more visitors you have from that section.

    Traffic Scores Overview

This will give you a visual representation of how much of your traffic is coming from specific sources.

    Content Overview

This is a list of your content, broken down by popularity. You will also get a row number and percentage of page views in this window.

Of these panes, only four of them can be used to give you access to more data about your site. If you want access to that data, you will need to click on the words "View Report" below each of the sections. We will begin with the visitors overview.

    Visitors Overview

You can get a lot more information about what kind of technology your visitors are packing. At first you will see data that you have seen before. Scroll down and you will see information about which browsers and connection types you are encountering when your visitors come to the site. You can also get information about languages and a map overlay.

    Map Overlay

This map is far more detailed than the basics. You will see the international visitor organized by country. If you click on each country's name, you will get more information about the specifics of the visitor's location.
