Make Your Online Ads Prominent on the Page
(Page 1 of 4 )
Itís no secret that most Web sites earn income through advertising agreements. There are many different types of deals and many different ways to use them, but they pretty much all amount to the same thing: youíve got to find a way to incorporate those advertisements onto your online pages if you want them to have any effect on your site at all. Learn how to make your online ads prominent on the pageÖwithout making them completely monopolize the page.
You want to advertise and you want to make money, but itís not always a good idea for your site to absolutely scream that itís doing so. At the same time, itís important to make sure your ads get prime placement so you can get those prime dollars from page clicks.
Itís a delicate balance, and many Webmasters struggle with finding exactly where this balance ought to be. As long as you master a few basic decisions and design concepts, you should have no trouble finding ways to place your ads (strongly) on the page.
Your Online Ads
Your online ads are the bread and butter of your site. In many cases, theyíre what keep the site going and what keep you going as a Webmaster. You want to earn revenue from them; thatís why theyíre in place. But you also donít want to use them in a way that might be off-putting or alienating to your traffic. The worst thing you can do is turn people away from your site because youíre coming on too strong. You want all elements on your page, even the advertising, to feel inviting and visually appealing.
As such, you should be very selective in the sort of ads you choose to place and where you place them on your page. As any Internet user knows, there are some types of ads which are just much more annoying (and aggravating) than others. Since youíre the one who has complete control over all advertising efforts on the site, take the time to make sure the ones you have in place arenít making visitors quickly exit your site.
Think about what annoys you when youíre casually surfing the Internet. Do you enjoy bright, flashing colors? Do you like ads that pop up all over the pages youíre trying to view? If you donít like certain advertising elements and designs, itís a good bet that other Internet users donít like them either.
