How To Write Effective Ads For Your Business - Be sure to...

Be sure to tell the readers WHY they should buy from you! For every business out there, there is a competitor or potentially, lots of competitors. You need to let the reader know what you can provide them with, that the competition cannot. Reach out to your potential customer and let them know why your product is the best and why they would WANT to buy from you!

There are two important words in the advertising industry. Want and Need. Want and Need have to work together to pull a potential customer in from an advertisement. First of all, they have to have a need for your product. If you are selling makeup, you don't want to target men! So look for women's newsletters, websites, and other advertising venues to place your ad. Secondly, they must want the product or service you are advertising. And it is your job as the advertiser to make them want it. For an example, let's take business card printing. You have found the people who need your product - people with businesses or services that would use business cards - now you have to make them want the business cards. Tell them what benefits they will have from getting business cards. Then tell them why they want YOUR business cards rather than someone else's.
