How To Develop A Web Site In Seven Easy Steps

Step one: Choose your domain name. The first and often over looked step in developing a web site is the domain name.Picking out a domain name can be tricky but the most important things are for it to be easy to remember and related to the web site. For example, if your web site is about selling roses then you will want a domain name that is consistent with the site's content. www.RosesForSale.com would be a good domain name for example. Thousands of domain names are registered each day so once you think of a good domain name think of at least three alternatives in case your first choice for a domain name is already taken.

Step two: Register your domain name.

Once you have a domain name that you would like to use you will need to: 1) see if it is available, 2) purchase it and 3) register that domain name with a domain name registrar. A domain name registrar is a company that, for a small fee, will list your domain name and credit you as the owner. They will also connect your domain name to your web host's server (see step three). A common domain registrar is GoDaddy.com Go to your choice of domain name registrars and do a search for the domain names that you decided on. Once you find one that is available and suits your liking then just follow the on screen instructions to register that domain.
