Build Domain Authority by Choosing the Right Domain Name - Establishing domain authority

Many site owners want to know how quickly they can establish their domain's authority. This is a common question, in fact, as the right answer can lead to massive traffic to your site coming from big search engines such as Google. The answer is, it will take just three months for Google to trust your site, even if it is still too young.  The sandbox theory is a myth, but doing things right the first time is a fact.

Disclaimer: three months is not a guarantee, it is still a factor of your web site's content quality and whether you have related expert sites linking to your domain.

Below I've outlined the strategies that can get your site trusted quickly by Google:

Step 1. It starts with defining your business objective.

There is no SEO work here, but as a website owner you are responsible for developing your overall business objective. This 20 percent of your overall work dictates 80 percent of your success, so it is very important to do things right the first time. Remember to be S.M.A.R.T when developing objectives. What I mean by this is that your objective should be:

    S- Specific

    M- Measurable

    A- Attainable

    R- Realistic

    T- Time Bounded

Give yourself it at most one week to think about it, and after one week formulate your objectives in one long sentence. Say your niche is consumer electronics and you would like to become a successful online business owner selling used mobile phones. A typical objective following S.M.A.R.T guidelines will be:

"To become one of the trusted shops selling used mobile phones online in the United States after three months by reaching at least 100 visitors to the site per month and converting at least two of them."

    Now we examine the objectives:

    1. Is it specific? Yes, because instead of selling mobile phones, which is very competitive, you'll specialize in selling used mobile phones. Also instead of selling worldwide, which is also very competitive, you're targeting just one country.

    2. Is it measurable? Yes, because it says quite clearly that success will be measured by, after three months, the site receiving at least 100 visitors per month and converting at least two of them.

    3. Is it attainable or realistic ? Yes it is, because having 100 visitors per month is a small target and having a two percent conversion rate is pretty attainable depending on the site content.

    4. Is it time bounded? Yes, because the site should reach that objective after three months.
