So You Want to Create a Blog - Creating a Blog

Blogs can be very easy to create. Many website editors offer a built-in blog creation feature that reduces the entire process to a few simple clicks, so anyone can put a blog on their own site. But blogs offer more than just posts on a given topic; they’re also interactive. Traditionally, blogs offer a comment link which allows any viewer to sound off on the post they’ve read. Many websites include feeds with blogs so anyone can keep up with what’s being written.

A blog should be easy to read, with software that makes it easy for writers to create entries, and easy for users to comment on and discuss. It’s a good idea to make any Web page, including blog pages, attractive to the eye. Bold headlines, pleasing colors, and graphic images can turn the simple text of a blog into a great-looking Web page. All the added features and embellishment associated with a blog take a little extra care and attention, but again, many website editors make the process very simple.

In order to create a blog, you have to have a place on the Web to put that blog first. Most free websites offer features that allow creators to include a blog with little time and trouble; all you have to do is create the posts and the overall look of the blog itself. If creating a website just to own a blog isn’t your thing, there’s an even easier option. Many sites allow users to sign up for their own free blog pages, which means they can create their posts without creating a website to go around them.
