How to Add Pictures, Links and Video to Your Blog

You started a blog, and you enjoy writing, but you know you can give your readers more. The Internet is a visual medium these days, and you want to spice things up with some great images. But how do you add these and other features that readers love to your blog? Keep reading.

The Internet is full of blogs on every topic imaginable. Blogs are highly popular, keyword-rich content which help drive traffic to sites. But a blog by itself is really simple text. Even when the words are highly interesting, they are still just words.

It’s a good idea to liven up your blog with extras like pictures, links and video. This helps add visual distinction and interactive elements to your blog, breaking up that boring text and turning your words into eye-catching, traffic-grabbing wunderkinds. But, do you know how to add pictures, links and video to your blog?

    The Joy of Blogging

Even the most respected and well-visited news Web sites out there have blogs these days. A blog is usually very personal, casual text on any given subject. Many blogs have themes, covering only one topic at a time (and all the subsequent topics therein). Blogs are popular because they are frequently updated and usually in the form of short, easy-to-read posts which appeal to Internet surfers (who are used to seeing quick information that‘s easy to digest and understand).

By nature, a blog creates a large amount of content, which in turn boosts search engine traffic. More content means more keywords means more visitors -- thus, the appeal of blogging. The most popular blogs offer more than just words -- they’re also rich with extra features and eye-catching elements like pictures and streaming video.
