Create a Blogging Site - More Development Tips
(Page 2 of 4 )
You can always sign up and pay a regular fee to own space on the Internet, as well. When you purchase your own domain name, the pages you create won’t be subject to the advertising whims or regulations of any host site.

Yahoo’s main page, for instance, has only ads and elements that were placed there by the Yahoo creators themselves. No other Web site will put their ads on these pages, unless of course Yahoo has agreed to some advertising arrangement.

Sites hosted by Yahoo, on the other hand, will be subject to ads placed there by Yahoo itself. No matter how you code those free pages, Yahoo will make sure they get to use some of your space -- after all, you’re not paying for it. Part of your hosting agreement with Yahoo, and most other sites offering the service, will be that you allow this type of ad placement on all of your site’s pages.
For those who are just beginning a site, it’s a good idea to take things one step at a time. Having a free site isn’t a bad way to go when you’re trying to launch something new on the Web. Start out slowly and start out small to get yourself accustomed to the particulars of running a site. When you know how you’re going to create your site, you can get down to the business at hand: getting lots of blogs, and lots of content, on your pages.
