Blogging with Yahoo - Creating Blog Entries
(Page 4 of 4 )
Yahoo provides a very user-friendly HTML editor for creating blog entries. You create the title (or leave the dummy title provided by Yahoo, which will always be the date), attach a photo and write the entry. Sound simple? It is. That’s why anyone can start blogging with Yahoo.

You’ll find a button under the title bar which allows you to attach a photo to your blog entry. In order to attach a photo to your entry, the picture must be present on your hard drive. Found a photo online somewhere else that you’d like to use? Download the file from the site, remember where on your hard drive you placed that photo, then recall it using the button provided by Yahoo. Simply click the correct file name and Yahoo will take care of the rest.
Ready to start writing now? Simply place text within the blank editing area. A toolbar across the top of the text box allows you to change the look and format of this text. You’ll be able to add bold text, highlight words, create a list and make many other stylistic changes to your text. It’s as simple as clicking the right button. The toolbar even provides a spellchecker so you can make sure your text remains readable and correct.
At the bottom of the editor, you’ll find a link which even allows you to create a poll to add to your entry. With this tool, you can quiz readers on their thoughts and opinions. For instance, if you create a blog entry about a political election, you can ask traffic to sound off for one candidate or the other. Will polls, you can provide a bit of interaction for your traffic even as you learn more about the type of readers you’re attracting to your blog.
Blogging with Yahoo
Maybe you aren’t a celebrity or a high-tech whiz kid. Maybe you can barely open your email, and you’re not quite sure what qualifies as HTML. There’s no reason you can’t enjoy having a blog of your own, even if you don’t know everything about how they’re created. Blogging with Yahoo means that you have only to write the posts and make a few other decisions; the site will take care of the rest.
